To find out how launch angle affects range and time of flight, an experiment must be conducted. Some of the instruments needed to perform this experiment is a timer, 5 meter sticks, and a marble launching machine that has an angle adjuster. To conduct the task, set the marble machine at a 90 degree angle and shoot it and time from when the marble leave the machine to when it hits the muzzle again. The trajectory should a vertical line with no range. The times recorded for the 90 degree angle were 1.52 sec, 1.52 sec, and 1.49 sec; these three numbers averaged together equals. This first measure of times can be used to find the initial velocity of the marble. To find this, the equation Vf-at=Vi can be used.
