Summary: Discusses the Arthur Miller play, The Crucible. Provides a brief description of all of the major characters.
In the Crucible, Arthur Miller demonstrates many different types of people and attitudes towards witchcraft in the town of Salem. The main character, "John Proctor" is a good honest and very out spoken man, but has a secret that no one knows of. He has true lust for a local woman, Abigail Williams also know as the woman that set the whole hysteria on fire! Do to the fact that John is married to Elizabeth proctor and Abigail is very jealous of her which kicks witchcraft hysteria in to high gear.

The town of Salem is a Puritan town and is quite small so the word of anything carries quite quickly. It all started by a group of girls dancing around a fire at night in the woods with a black salve named Tituba. A local minister had caught them doing that and suddenly a girl falls into...
