An Alternate History of Julius Caesar

Summary:  

Questions how world history would have changed if Julius Caesar had lived. Considers if Caesar would have become a tyrant.

In 44 BC, Gaius Julius Caesar, the foremost political and military figure who played a key part in the development of the Roman Empire and its civilization, was shamefully assassinated. The conspirators who murdered Caesar claimed that he was ambitious and would rule Rome as a tyrant. These murderers justified that his death was for the good of Rome, but ironically, their action directly led to the chaos and destruction of Rome in the years that followed. Even though Caesar had great power in Rome, he wasn"t a dictator. Before his gruesome removal, he had achieved a great deal for Rome. He did everything in his power to help Rome become a strong empire it should have been. He brought them hope and joy in time of mayhem and despair. Caesar's win in battles and wars.....
