Light, what is it? Many people think "Oh; well light is what makes it not dark." Light is more than just a phenomenon that puts darkness to shame. According to Webster's Dictionary light is "An electromagnetic radiation that can be seen to the naked eye." That definition doesn't help very much. Light is a force that makes everything we see have color. Light reflects off of certain colors to make us see colors. Light is used to learn about distant things, such as stars. When light is used to identify and classify star types it is called spectral classification.
