a) What is Risalah? (2)

Muslim beliefs about the prophets of Allah.

b) Outline Muslim beliefs about heaven and hell. (6)

Muslims believe that when they die, their bodies stay in the grave until the last Day, when the earth will be ended and everyone will die, then the angel Israfil will then blow the trumpet and there will be a resurrection. All the bodies will then be raised, and will gather on the Plain of Arafat for the Final Judgement. Muslims also believe in repentance, where those who repent for their sins before they die, will not go to hell.

Muslims call heaven al'jannah, which means the garden. And they call hell jahannam, the place of fire. Both heaven and hell last forever, so where people end up is where they will stay for eternity.
