He also has superhuman powers such as his ability to speak with the gods and his intense strength. Odysseus is an excellent example of an epic hero. This essay will demonstrate why Odysseus is an epic hero, and how The Odyssey displays this.

Odysseus’ qualities of an epic hero are first apparent in book seven.
