Conflicts in The Crucible

Summary: Examines The Crucible, an Arthur Miller play. Provides a character synopsis. Discusses conflicts in the play between characters and describes how the hysteria builds amongst the characters.
The story "The Crucible" takes place is the 1600's and is about the Salem witch trials. Abigail a young woman niece of the towns reverend has every body convinced that the devil is loose in Salem. The town went into a mad frantic about the witch scare. Innocent people in the town were dying. John Proctor one of the innocent persons who died was a very courageous man that knew he wasn't a witch but he wanted to show the whole town how stupid and dumb these trials were so he was put to death for no apparent reason. If so many people didn't get caught up in the mass hysteria then none of these trials would have happened.
