Theme of Love in Romeo and Juliet

Summary:  

Examines how William Shakespeare explores the theme of love in his romantic tragedy, Romeo and Juliet. Provides quotes from the text to support the thesis.

In this essay I am going to look at a few of the many types of love. I am going to look at how love can be portrayed and how characters feel love for one another. When you use the word love it can be interpreted in different ways. When you say 'I love you' to your parents you mean it in a different way to when you say it to your partner. There are many different types of love. One of these is infatuation.

Infatuation is when you think you are in love with someone but you may not have even talked to him or her. You are in love with their looks not their personality or them as a whole person.
