Animal Farm, a Summary

Summary:   Provides a detailed summary of the novel, Animal Farm, by George Orwell. Critiques the story and compares it to the Russian Revolution.


Animal farm is a story about a group of animals on a farm taking over the farm from the men, and making it into there own farm where they can run the farm without humans. I chose this book because it was linked to the Russian Revolution.

When the story starts out all the animals are waiting for the main farmer, Mr. Jones, to go to sleep so the older and more respected pig, Old Major, can talk to the rest of the animals. He told them that he had a dream earlier and he felt he was going to die soon. He continued to tell the rest of the animals what he had learned in the 12 years he was alive to help them out in future reference. 3 days later Old Major dies and three.....
