Speed is an ingenious suspenseful film that keeps you glued to the edge of your seat. It's a fast paced action film that starts with hostages trapped on an elevator and continues with two chases - one on a bus, one on a subway. It's full of back-to-back action with stunts, special effects and excitement.

Keanu Reeves plays Jack, an L.A.P.D SWAT team specialist who is sent to diffuse a bomb that is planted on an elevator by a mad man with a grudge against the police force. His conditions; give him $3 million or the hostages trapped in the elevator will die. However this is just the beginning of a ruthless battle of wits between Jack and the mad man.

The mad man is played by Denis Hopper, a burned former cop who is out for revenge against the police force. They could capture him...
