Summary:   Examines how the Hebrews used their bible as a means of spiritual guide and reference. Reveals the three attributes that all have an important role in the production of Hebrew literature.


The Bible is a great monument of the Hebrews record of spiritual, literary, and historical experiences. These three attributes, spiritual, literary, and historical, all have an important role in the production of Hebrew literature. All which will be discussed in the body of this essay.

The Hebrew used their Bible as a spiritual guide and reference. The Bible told them stories of their god and his creations. For example, "Psalms 23" describes what God is to the world and his specific details. Also it told them the ways to live and how to follow him in his ways. His ways were called the Ten Commandments. They used the Bible as their use of religious belief.
