In this essay I will underline the key factors that led to the Klan's growth in the 1920's. I will underline things such as new immigration laws and the red scare. I will start with a detailed introduction into the Klan and some of the punishments they gave to people who they did not see fit to be Americans. The irony of the Klan is that they thought they were true Americans but the fact of the matter is that Americans are unique, as said by Woodrow Wilson.

Just to give an insight into the Klan here is a short but detailed history of the Klan. They were founded in 1866 and originally were there to reinforce American beliefs. This soon changed when new immigrants from the continent began to flood in and soon the Klan had adopted a hate list, which had "blacks" at the top. The years...
