What Freedom Means to Me

Summary: Discusses the issue of freedom from a personal perspective. Describes an incident of being oppressed.
Freedom. Liberty of the person from slavery, detention, or oppression. Freedom isn't just a word. It's an action. We live in a country where we have many freedoms. Freedoms such as being able to speak out and say what you want to say. The freedom to worship and believe as you choose. We also have the freedom to choose, choose what you want to do, what you want to become, and even, who you want to be president.

But within this government that we have, we are limited by restrictions, which reduce these freedoms. Things such as our individual states, counties, cities, and even our homes and schools. And within these, we have restrictions from teachers and parents, which go along with classroom and at home rules. We are limited so much.

I thought that because I was a free individual, a citizen of the U.S.A...
