Summary: Explores the issue of social conformity. Describes how Society attempts to control the people by placing regulations, what is acceptable and what's not, yet we as individuals must decide to conform to this social decorum.
There is a Japanese proverb that my great grandma used to use it states, "The nail that sticks out will be hammered down." Society attempts to control the people by placing regulations, what is acceptable and what's not, yet we as individuals must decide to conform to this social decorum. As children we are bombarded with propaganda on what is hot and what is not. We are forced a people to be like everyone else, yet at one time or another the people have all heard be true to yourself. All they are saying is be true to what society wants one to be. However, there will come a time in everyone's life where they have to decide whether or not to spend a lifetime following or truly living true to ourselves. Making this decision is difficult but choosing to be true will show one's strength in character...
