Summary:   Discusses a quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson's "Self Reliance." Describes how the quote exhibits the Transcendentalism philosophy wholly, and does indeed have the ring of truth to it.

-Nobody knows you and your "duties" better than you know yourself. You shouldn't let other people make decisions for you when making them yourself is the best way to go. Other people don't live your life, don't think your thoughts, and don't share your beliefs. So, why should their decisions for you come ahead of yours"
