John Quincy Adams

Summary:   Provides a biography of former American President John Quincy Adams. Details his early life, education and path to the White House.


John Quincy Adams, son of the 2nd president John Adams, was a devout political man. In his whole life he spend 50 years for his American people by serving as a diplomat, senator, secretary of state, president, and the U.S. House of Representatives

Born in Braintree in 1825, at a young age, he accompanied his father to France to seek aid for the American Revolution. There, he spent eight years of his life in Europe studying, and at the age 14, he had master the French Language. In addition, he even witnesses the signing of the Treaty of Paris. After his father became the vice-president, John Quincy Adams became the representative to the Netherlands, since he spoke Dutch, where he met Louisa Catherine Johnson and gotten married. However he was then appointed U.S. diplomatic representative to Prussia.....
