These high profile cases have allowed us to see the distinct gap between those who believe that a person has the right to end their lives if they are in pain and those who believe that euthanasia is a last resort of an uncaring society.

The pro-euthanasia lobby believe that every person should have the right to end their own life though only at a point when they had no quality of life left.
