Adam, a very confused fifteen year-old becomes a man in the book April Morning. In the beginning, Adam is a boy, he always would fight with his 11 year old brother Levi. Yet in the middle of the night, a rider gallops through the village saying that a large British army is coming. Adam must now fight in the Committeemen militia and grow up through one night. April Morning was a great story in retelling the start of the American Revolution and a story about a boy with problems just like any other.

Adam, in the beginning of the book, you could see was very immature, him and his brother would call each other names and he would say spells into the well like " Holy Ghost, Holy Hell, get thee out of mossy well. His Father would never compliment his son, because of how immature he was...
