Summary:   Explores the history of World War II. Describes how the British navy played a huge role in the defeat of Germany.


The British navy played a huge role in the defeat of Germany. The navy attacked and defended the British waters, and for this they were repaid by victory. The used many tactics and suffered great losses, but they overcame that and eventually won the war at sea.

The British navy aims and objectives were to defend the British waters, prevent German navy attacks, blockade the German supplies, and to make trade continue through the duration of the war. They also transported troops over sea's to fight on allied fronts.

On the offensive front, the British navy was ready for any attack made by the Germans, as they had surrounded the North Sea with their British Channel fleet and their Grand fleet. The Navy helped the British win the war, as they blockaded German supplies and tried.....
