Flying through the air with an acrobatic ease, seemingly untouched by gravity, and then throwing the ball through the rim with striking authority; this is how Michael Jordan is viewed by the general public, especially early in his career. Jordan is known for his amazing dunks and moves as well as his ability to single-handedly uplift his team to victory. Less known however, during the 1990-91 season Michael Jordan was a leader of the Chicago Bulls in more ways than just scoring. Within this leadership, it was easy to see that he led with an autocratic style. His leadership was an autocratic style. Similarly Jack Merridew, from the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding, also has an autocratic leadership style. He is one of the oldest children stuck on a deserted island with other children.
