Italian Renaissance

The Renaissance was a humanistic revival of classical art, architecture, literature, and learning that originated in Italy in the 14th century and later spread throughout Europe. The word "Renaissance" is a French word that means "rebirth." The Renaissance in Italy was not much different from the Renaissance that occurred in Northern Europe. They both had some similarities and differences. The Renaissance existed for a few centuries before it affected all of Europe.

The Renaissance in Italy and the rest of Northern Europe both had many changes in art. The Italian Renaissance caused changes in art, architecture, literature, and education. A sculptor named Nicola Pisano gave paintings of human figures more of a sense of physical presence. Some artists would have problems painting on a flat surface. So a group of artists came together and developed a mathematically.....
