Summary: Provides a comparison of art created in the Agean sea region to art created in Ancient Egypt. Describes how the civilizations and the art focus on completely different situations and substance. Considers which civilization produced the more advanced art.
The people who inhabited the Aegean Sea region left only a tiny trace of their existence. But the things they did leave behind almost make me forget how little we know when I see how different they are from Egypt's artifacts. Minoan new, middle and late period came at roughly the same time as Egypt's three kingdoms, yet the art is so incredibly different. You could find a couple similarities but over all- the contrast is striking. The civilizations and the art focus on completely different situations and substance. Mycanaen

The first obvious difference is the difference in content. Art and Aegean civilization focuses much more on life and pleasure- it is more about living in the present.
