Summary: Analyzes the William Shakespeare romantic tragedy, Romeo & Juliet. Explores the character of Juliet as the protagonist of the play. Examines her development throughout the story.
An increasing amount of evidence thorough out the play of Romeo & Juliet puts forth the fact that Juliet had played the part of a protagonist, she also acts in a mature manner, and seems to be frequently growing and developing through out the play. She is to be considered a protagonist because many events in the play revolve around her. Juliet also acts rather maturely for she is not hasty in the many of her decisions as opposed to Romeo. Lastly Juliet really grows and develops from that stage of an immature and naïve person to someone more serious and wide-eyed primarily because of personal experiences.

I had considered Juliet to be the protagonist of this play as several events through out the play revolve around her. For example Romeo wouldn't have died if Juliet hadn't drunk that potion and appeared dead. Another example was when Paris...
