Throughout the story Young Goodman Brown, Hawthorne creates a possibility that this story is just simply a delusion of Goodman Brown. The story begins as Goodman proceeds on a puzzling mission. Goodman starts his journey at sunset. The sunset facet is symbolic, for the reason that the sunset differentiates between day and night. Night represents wickedness and day represents justice, this expresses that Goodman is unclear on his religious outlooks on life. Goodman is parting with his faith, to make way for immorality.
