According to the Education Commission Report No. 7, the fundamental aim of education is to edevelop the potential of every individual child, so that our students become independent-minded and socially-aware adults, equipped with the knowledge, skills and attitudes which help them lead a full life as individuals and play a positive role in the life of the communityf. Therefore, our education should not only focus on the academic achievement, but also the personal-social qualities so that students can develop a sense of responsibility to the family, community, country and the world, i.e. more socially-aware. However, as the syllabus for Hong Kongfs secondary school is mainly examination-oriented, personal and social education does not take the same attention as the academic study.
