As a high school student I witness my friends and fellow students making foolish choices daily. Taking drugs and underage drinking are the most common in my school. In the four years that I have attended GHS, things in the younger grades (grade 8 and the junior students) have changed dramatically. Yes, my age group had started drinking and taking drugs at a young age, but the new students to my school have been doing these things for just as long or longer than most of the senior students. Sixty six percent of students between grade seven and grade 12 have at one time or another in the last year drank alcohol. It seems as if it's not only in the big cities, the bad influences are still present in the smaller communities around Ontario, and the youth are following the examples of the mature student body.
