The upcoming election between President George Bush and Senator John Kerry is very close. Both candidates have many supporters and everyone is waiting for November, where we will find out who the president will be. President Bush was born on July 6, 1946, in New Haven, Connecticut, and he grew up in Midland and Houston, Texas. He was elected as the 43rd president of the US and sworn to office on January 20th, 2001. He earned a bachelor's degree from Yale University in 1968. Then he served as an F-102 fighter pilot in the Texas Air National Guard. President Bush got a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1975. He was elected governor of Texas in 1994. Bush (at least claims to be) fighting for lower taxes, better public schools, to increase salary for people in the military, and to work on medicare.
