Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston on January 19th 1809. He is mostly known for his poetry/verses and short stories and literary analysis. His thrillers have influenced numerous authors globally. His writings reflect his own life of fear, loneliness and death. He also wrote the first detective story and an approximate total of 70 poems.
