To answer this question of why the film stand by me is so popular with teenagers I am going to divide my essay into sections in the first one I am going to look at three different scenes in the film and see what happens in them in the second I will answer why it is so popular to teenagers and finally I will discuss how it affected me as a teenager.

The film "Stand By Me" is a film about 4 young boys (around 12 years old) who go on a journey to find a young boys body who was killed by a train they find this out when Vern overhears his parents talking about it and he rushes over to his friends to tell them. The movie is about not just the journey the boys take but also how they grow up into adulthood and shows their immaturity...
