Summary: Analyzes the film Jaws, directed by Steven Spielberg, made in 1975. Describes how the film changed the course of filmmaking. Provides a plot summary of the film.
Some critics say "Jaws has changed the course of film making." Others say "it's a white-knuckle ride into terror." However most people say, it's a film no one will ever forget. It was a historic film that was cleverly directed by the all time great, Steven Spielberg. He was the first person in history to create a "shark vs. human" film. The crowd was ecstatic. It was the first time they were to see the man eating machine on the big screen.

Jaws takes place in the small fishing community of Amity Island, a town where you know everybody, a town that has been crime-free due to the efforts of the Chief of Police, Chief Brody.
