Michael Kenna was born in 1953 in Widnes, Lancashire, England. He first became involved in Photography when he was in college. He attended the Banbury School of Art in Oxfordshire. During his stay there he had a special interest in Photography but it was merely a hobby. After college he decided to persue his hobby and attended the London College of Printing in London. There he received honors with distinction in his work.
It was in the early 70's that he had his first exhibitions. He started printing publicly in 1973 and he is still printing today. He does small editions of his prints, only about 45 prints, and they are always signed. He is famous for his ways of catching landscapes in simple black and white film. Infact he is so.....
