To Kill a Mockingbird

Summary:   Reviews the Harper Lee novel, To Kill a Mockingbird. Describes the main characters and provides a plot summary.


In the book entitled "To Kill a Mockingbird", there are four main characters. The main characters are: Scout A.K.A. Jean Louise, Jem, Atticus, and Dill. Scout is the narrator; she is naïve in so many ways and is very curious. Jem is Scouts older brother. He is a brave young man and puts Scout in her place when she gets into trouble. Atticus is Jem and Scouts' father. He is an old man and very down to earth. Dill is Scouts "fiancé" and friend. He travels to Maycomb every summer from Merridian. A few of the sub-characters are Calpurnia and Aunt Alexandra. Calpurnia is the family caretaker. She is the one that raises the children when Atticus is not home. Aunt Alexandra is Atticus' sister. She is very narrow-minded woman and thinks a girl should be.....
