Essay provides an overview of Hinduism.

Hinduism is one of the oldest living religions in the world. It dates back to prehistoric times in India. The 750 million adherents, called Hindus, they are predominant in India, where 85% of the population is classified as Hindus, yet they can be found all over the world, making their religion the 3rd largest world wide, and the major religion of India. Unlike most religions, Hinduism wasn't founded by one individual; rather it is a result of many religious beliefs and philosophical schools.

Hinduism has been a polytheistic religion since its beginning, some estimate its Gods to be in the thousands. Others suggest that though innumerable minor Gods exist but these divinities form the one true God - the heart of Hinduism - Brahman. The Hindus have came.....
