Thomas Edison was a remarkable man most famously known for his incandescent electric light bulb. Thomas Edison was a significant figure in our history as well as the history of the world. Edison was born into a middle-class family on February 11, 1847 in Milan, Ohio. At the age of seven, Thomas's mother withdrew him from school and began to home-school Thomas. Thomas enjoyed to learn and preferred to learn through independent self-instruction. In Thomas's early years, he formed a strong sense of perseverance. This would help him in the challenges he faced throughout his life and inventing. When Thomas was 14, he began to publish his own newspaper and sold them on trains and railroad stations. At the peak of Thomas's business, he sold 400 newspapers a day. He got a net profit of ten.....
