You think that you know all about candy, that it is just a sugary flavored treat. Well, that's not all there is to it. Even though it is a sugar flavored treat, candy also has many other ingredients such as milk, cream, fruits, nuts, and flavoring. Let's take a journey into the history of candy.

Even though candy contains an energy-rich supplement known as carbohydrates, it is very filling and does not contain any other nutrients vital to good health. As you have been told by your parents, candy really shouldn't be eaten before meals because it can ruin your appetite for other foods. Candy, because of the sugary base, stickiness, and chewiness, can get wedged between teeth and cause cavities.
