There were many confusing parts of this chapter although after reading the next chapter many things have cleared up. This chapter was very confusing for me because I did not know what was going on since Adam started running from the British soldiers. At first, I thought that Solomon Chandler was a Redcoat. And even after reading about how they went walking and how Solomon offered Adam food, I still wasn't sure if he was a Patriot. The reason why I wasn't sure is because he didn't sound sorry about the death of Moses. In the book, when Adam was crying and Solomon stated, `"Now that's the right thing," "Let the tears run freely.
