King Arthur in the Style of J.R.R Tolkien

Summary:

Essay portrays King Arthur in The style Of J.R.R Tolkien.

One ring to rule them all,

One ring to help him,

One ring to defeat them all.

In the land of Rivendale

Where Gandalf ruled supreme.

At last after the battle as Gandalf lay wounded, his brave hobbits Frodo and Bilbo came to him. Ten Gandalf spoke to them, "At last my hobbits bravest in the world and most beloved, my world is fading. Lo! We have returned and we have spent, and now the time of payment draws near."

Bilbo knew well what he meant and had long dreaded the death of his master; nonetheless he was consumed by his grief. Frodo and Bilbo gently uplifted Gandalf and carried him. And so at last they came to the last homely house. Frodo the cried out, "the shadow of doom is upon me. Night comes, the very warmth of my blood seems stolen away."

Then Gandalf spoke to Bilbo, "now leave your weeping and grow some hobbit- sense. Take my precious ring go over yonder hill to a dark lake in the mountain." The land was rough and hostile the mountain drew nearer. As Bilbo approached the lake he looked at the beautiful ring and was struck by its beauty. He saw a cave at the end of the mountain pass, he preferred the cold tone under the shadow of the mountain to the green shores of the lake. He returned to Gandalf and told him that he had done the deed. Gandalf said "what see you there brave hobbit"."

"Master answered Bilbo I heard nothing and saw the dragon swooping across the lake."

With a voice of thunder Gandalf said, " Go my time is near do the deed properly and return swiftly." Bilbo returned to the lake. He did not have the courage or the dignity to throw the ring into the lake so he retuned saying he had done the deed, "what did you see said Gandalf "" again the hobbit lied. "we hates it, we hates it, we hates it, we hates it forever !" cried Gandalf.

With shameful tears running from his eyes Bilbo ran to the lake, and did what he was bid. Suddenly Thorin arose on a barge, he brandished the ring three times Bilbo saw many other dwarves on this barge, he returned to his Master, and told his what he had seen. With mighty strength and help from Thorin they placed Gandalf onto the barge. Gandalfs last words were, "take care brave young hobbit take my ring but beware of its magical powers."
