Scout's Characteristics

Summary: Describes the qualities of the character of Scout Finch from the novel "To Kill A Mockingbird" by Harper Lee.
Scout Finch is a very entertaining character to follow. Even though she was born as a girl, she still wishes to act like a boy and do the things other boys do. She goes with Jem, her older brother, everywhere he goes and does many daring things with him even though she advises him otherwise. In my paper, I will be describing three of Scouts many characteristics. I will be talking about her tomboyish self, her great respect for Atticus, and her innocence.

Scout has been raised by her father and criticized by her brother for her whole life. The brother continually calls her "sissy" and a "girl." She wishes to be accepted by Jem and Dill but she never really gets accepted. She performs many different "tasks" to prove she's not a sissy.
