Modern Mexico City is one of the largest cities in the world. Once, it was a valley of salt water and erupting volcanoes. At the beginning of the 14th century, tribe called the Aztecs settled here. They transformed from simple nomads into rulers of the most powerful empire Central America had ever known!

From the records, we know that Aztecs were very wealthy and advanced civilization. Yet, there was a dark side of this life, people lived in fear...Ritual human sacrifice is for what, above all, they are well known. So who were the Aztecs, bloodthirsty barbarians or a great world civilization with its own beliefs and traditions?
