A little boy turned on the television and watched stories of his favorite superheroes. These overrated heroes were known for their extreme strength and their x-ray vision. In the 21st century, after September 11th, the qualities of a realistic hero were reevaluated. With the new and adapted views of a hero, people throughout history were recognized. These heroes, though unable to hand lift a car like Superman, changed the future with their outrageous accomplishments. What were these reevaluated traits that now made an individual a hero? A hero can be defined as someone who puts others before them self. A hero is unselfish and shows great dedication in improving the well-being of others; Clara Barton, Eleanor Roosevelt, and Dietrich Bonhoeffer best portrayed this hero definition.
