How America Has Changed Since 9/11/01

Since September 11, 2001, Americans have shown more pride, made major advancements in safety and security, and increased military action against other countries. September 11th was a day of loss, tragedy, sadness and shock for the people across the United States. This was a day America stood still trying to figure out the insanity of the bizarre acts of violence thrust upon our great nation. It was immediately interpreted as an act of terrorism after the second plane hit the World Trade Center. This was a day that would go down in history; a day my generation will tell our children and grandchildren about.

I recall September 11, 2001 as being a day American pride and spirit was broken. I saw shortly thereafter American's intolerance for such merciless behavior to prevail. American flags began flying everywhere. They were flying high from poles, flapping on automobiles, pinned to clothing, shining twenty-four hours a...
