Summary:   Essay looks at the different aspects and characteristics of Anne Frank by analyzing her diary.


Eccentric. Brilliant. Whimsical. Candid. Cheerful. Upbeat. Optimistic. Youthful. These adjectives might be descriptive, but there is no means in which Anne Frank can be portrayed just with words. A character so vivid and strong that just Anne Frank's diary, The Diary of A Young Girl gives slight glimpses of Anne's character. Anne Frank started writing in her diary given to her on her birthday because she had to find comfort because she has trouble opening up to her friends. Thoroughly forlorn and in need of compassion and affection, Anne writes her memoirs to her friend Kitty. In the beginning, Anne has conflicts with the other inhabitants of the Annex; she also has conflicts with her inner self and is very skeptical of both herself and others.
