Henry Ford: Greatest American Hero

Summary:  

Explains the life of Henry Ford from his first achievements to the nationwide accomplishments that made him popular throughout the United States. Essay also explains why he is America's greatest hero.

Henry Ford was a "born mechanic" or so the mother says (Edison-Ford 1), with his intelligence, inquisitive nature and energy brought forth by the huge growth of industry occurring in the Detroit area. Ford would become one of the greatest industrialists in history. Henry Ford not only provided America with the automobile, wartime production, more jobs and better wages, but he provided America with the most important of all, a middle class.

Henry Ford was born in what is now Dearborn, Michigan, July 30, 1863. His parents were William and Mary Ford and he was the oldest in a family of six children (The Life 1). Henry showed an early and strong interest in mechanics and beginning at the relatively young age of 12, he spend most of his spare time in a small machine ship which.....
