There are two sides to the argument about unions. One could argue all the good things unions have done with wages and women in the work place. Or, one could argue the negative effects it has had on the labour market. In reality, unions have both positive and negative effects.

The unions have been a positive effect on the work force. Without the unions you may find a lot more people struggling to meet ends need and would be working in an unsafe environment. The unions have made it so that the unionised get paid more which would make a lot of positive repercussions on a lot of people without much money.
