Americans have lost the desire to learn. Education is one of the most important parts of a person's life. With a College degree a person can do almost anything they want to do in life. But many Americans today take this for granted. Children in school today would like nothing more than to be somewhere else. These students's would rather be out with their friends or dallying around their house. When they are in school they forget the whole reason why. This causes many student's to ditch school are not even show up at all. I believe that the lack of family values and the lack of motivation and student responsibility have caused this dilemma in our education system.
