Audience: A PTA meeting where parents are discussing whether are over diagnosing their children with ADHD. These are parents of children from 1st grade to 12th grade.

ADHD, Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder, is a problem some of our elementary, junior high, and high school children, will face throughout their lifetime but it may be over diagnosed and we must stop this from happening. It is very important for parents to know if ADHD is over diagnosed, because if it is, we have to be extra careful when getting their kids tested for ADHD, and should be reluctant to label our children ADHD. However, this is not a great problem because studies show that doctors have developed accurate diagnostic standards, and fewer children are being treated for ADHD than children that actually have the disease.
