There are many aspects of communication that we cannot control. We use words to relay the messages that we consciously think about. For the subconscious messages, we use body language. Although the person giving the signs may not even know they are doing it, others can still pick up what they are really feeling.

Body language has been around for ages, but it wasn't until the 1970's when it was brought to the attention of many people. It was first introduced through college textbooks, and that is when people started to take conscious note of all the subliminal communication.
