Stalinism did, alter its state throughout Stalin's reign as Premier, changing firstly with the outbreak of the Second World War, and changing once again with its closure. The main areas changed by Stalin were economics, politics, the foreign policy of the USSR, and Stalin as an individual. The USSR was introduced to a new dimension of Stalinism, but it took form of terror and violence that characterized Stalin's earlier work.
