Overcoming Fear

My eyes flew open and immediately began darting about my dark room. I slowly sat up, trying to calm my erratic breathing. I attempted to collect my thoughts, but the second my eyes hit my teddy bear that was laying next to me in my bed, awful images of my dream, no nightmare, washed over me. I began to replay my nightmare in my head, and it sent shivers down my back. All I remember is I was in bed, snuggled under the covers that were pulled up to my chin. My favorite teddy bear was next to me where he had been every night for the last two years. I loved him. He was almost as big as me, and he was so soft. I loved to give him hugs. I slowly turned to.....
