The day was May fourth 1970; this date will forever be remembered as unforgettable moment in history. On one of America's university campuses a devastating and tragic event occurred. This event is known as the Kent State Protests. What started out as a protest for peace turned into a protest of violence? In the end four people died (Jeffery Miller, Allison Krause, Bill Schroeder and Sandy Scheuer) and nine were wounded.

Nixon's announcement of expanding the war got mixed reviews, with the more conservative parental types thinking that the invasion was imperative for attaining a "just peace" that would sustain the credibility that America has received over the years. On the other hand the more liberal hippie student types believed that invading Cambodia would escalate the war, and they also thought that one of the main reasons for the invasion was just for military victory...
